Are you ready to experience the most adorable, heartfelt, and meaningful wedding EVER?! Let’s head to L’Auberge, the most stunning creekside venue in Sedona, Arizona. Immediately upon arrival, we were greeted with loads and loads of love. Which totally adds up if you know Gena and Boyd! These two are some of the most down-to-earth people we have ever met and are soooo incredibly kind. Plus, their love for one another is infectious in the best way! The love they share with each other spills out into every section of their live. When their friends and family welcomed us with open arms, we felt right at home for their wedding at L’Auberge.
Wedding days are always filled with love, but Gena and Boyd’s was completely OVERFLOWING with it!! Gena and Boyd wanted their family to feel involved on their wedding day. To start, they had Gena’s nieces and nephews playing the oh-so-important roles of ring bearers and flower girl. Let me tell you, these kiddos did their jobs SO well. Guests seated for the ceremony were thrilled as they watched these adorable kids walk down the aisle in preparation for the meaningful ceremony that followed.
Planning and Decor Details
Set in front of the stunning red rocks right where L’Auberge’s property meets Oak Creek, Gena and Boyd said I Do!! Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite moments was when I saw the massive smiles on their faces after they kissed for the first time as Mr. and Mrs! I love seeing the way our clients design their wedding day and how it reflects their own personal style. For Gena and Boyd, they brought in Bloom and Blueprint to take care of florals and planning and they did SUCH a good job!
Having a professional planner and florist is always a good idea, so we weren’t surprised to see how stunning and seamless their wedding at L’Auberge was. The ceremony sight was decorated with a grand floral design that covered the chuppah. I loved the delicacy of their white rose petal carpet and the way it contrasted with the thickness of roses and greenery that absolutely showed OFF! Although the space was stunning, it was clear that Gena and Boyd were the centers of attention as they shared their vows, said I Do, and stomped on the glass!
First Look and Vows
As Gena and Boyd shared their “first kiss” I thought back to a sweet moment they shared earlier in the day. Both Gena and Boyd had some nervous jitters and during their first look, we encouraged both of them to go with the flow and do what felt right! Gena and Boyd shared a sweet kiss after their vows and you could tell they felt their nerves wash away.
As photographers we have a few favorite venues, and whenever we have the opportunity to visit this location we are sooo down. We just LOVE it so much! For bridal shots, L’Auberge has some dreaaammyy little spots all around, and once that golden light hit it was like literal heaven! The only thing that could have made this day even better was the BEST reception ever — and they totally had it.
Dreamy Reception
As the sunset and the dreamy twinkle lights lit up the night, their reception space was ready. Dinner was held at community-style tables and round tables with elegant white linens and delicate greenery accented by shimmering candles. Gena and Boyd had hand-lettered calligraphy names written out on gemstones to mark each guest’s seat! The night shared among friends and family was one to remember. As the romantic candles lit up the night we knew this evening was something special. Gena and Boyd cut their cake and then everyone headed inside to hit the dance floor! Inside guests were having the best time dancing, drinking, and taking photos at the photo booth featuring a custom neon sign. Overall, this wedding at L’Auberge was filled with SO much joy and love. We had the absolute best time capturing all of these smiles and special moments.
Gena and Boyd are two of the most incredible people we’ve had the opportunity of working with! We’re SO thankful they invited us to join in on this beautiful day.
