I am so excited to share this cozy in-home couple’s session with you all. Layton and Cole were so much fun to capture, their love is everythinggg! I was truly obsessed with every moment of this day. When a love story has a history like Layton and Cole’s it’s so inspiring. Love can power through any challenge, and make any moment better!! Layton and Cole’s love story began years ago and that is obvious in how comfortable they are with one another. Their in-home couple’s session was sooo sweet and their connection is undeniable. We had the best time hanging out and shooting with Layton and Cole as they made coffee, cuddled on that gorgeeeeous couch, danced, laughed, and made memories!
Alright, let me tell you why I love in-home sessions so much. They’re comfortable, low-stress, and are an intimate look into our couple’s lives!! Even though we weren’t at Layton and Cole’s actual home, they were still sooo comfortable in the space. We booked a suite at the Desert Compass in Old Town, New Mexico and I just have to say WOW. What a perfect space!! At Desert Compass there are a ton of unique suites with typical New Mexico Style (I felt at home here, it reminded me of living and growing up in New Mexico!) Layton and Cole were absolute pros cozying up in gorgeous corners of gorgeous light, lounging around, and really taking advantage of every moment together. Seriously, I’m dying to go back immediately!!
I mean it, couples sessions are always my favorite!! There is little to no pressure and everyone always has the best time. Our shoot with Layton and Cole was part of a workshop we did with Cactus and Pine. We invited a bunch of amazing photographers to capture this love story, and even with multiple cameras around, Layton and Cole felt right at home. Some of my favorite shots took place in that stunning old-fashioned kitchen as these cuties poured coffee and laughed together SO effortlessly!
The Desert Compass was an incredible location for this shoot, and the color scheme in the space was immaculate. Soft shades of desert oranges, accents of taupe and cream, and a tonnnn of texture made this space so cozy. Layton and Cole’s outfits were laid back but blended perfectly with the space. The red-tile floor was a classic New Mexico touch, and overall the decor pieces in this space were tons of fun to work with!
Layton and Cole’s cozy in-home couple’s session was the best experience. I loved getting to know the two of them and documenting their love! Couple’s sessions are a must-have experience for any couple, regardless of how long you’ve been together. If you’re looking to grab a few iconic shots with your babe let us know! We would loveeee to hear about your story and share some moments together!
