November in Arizona is one of the most beautiful months. The weather isn’t unbearably hot, and the sunsets are breathtaking! For their Sedona elopement, Katelyn and Travis wanted to soak up every ounce of beauty Sedona has to offer. They rented a stunning Airbnb for the weekend so they and their family could stay together for the wedding weekend. So much love and happiness filled the walls of this home, and it was clear how in love Katelyn and Travis are!
Katelyn and Travis had the perfect wedding date, 11/11/22. Talk about a memorable date!! Their vision for their big day was absolutely perfect. Our bride and groom wanted to share a sweet ceremony with their family and friends, but exchange private vows and their first dance with just one another. To follow, they wanted to celebrate the day with cake, champagne, and pizza! Although it was a bit chilly, the warm Arizona sun poked through the clouds warming up the Sedona desert.
After spending the morning writing vows, getting ready, and sharing a tear-jerking first look, it was time for their ceremony. We headed out to one of my absolute favorite Sedona elopement locations. I adore this spot because the valley provides a touch of color and life to contrast the texture of the red rocks. The golden light reflected off the massive red rocks creating the most breathtaking backdrop. Everyone was happy to be there and celebrate these two as they said I do, it was such a sweet ceremony!
One of my favorite parts of their wedding ceremony was how Katelyn and Travis’ son stood by them the entire time. It was the most adorable thing. He just wanted to be by mom all day (I def felt aaalll the emotions watching their little family interact)! Their close friends and family surrounded them as they sealed the deal with a kiss before heading back to the Airbnb for pizza and champagne. However, before we let these two party we snuck them off to take some beautiful golden hour portraits.
The love these two have for each other is radiant and shows so clearly through these images. I loved being in their presence and capturing such a special day for them! We ran around the red rocks snapping photos as we raced against the setting sun. And, in classic Sedona fashion, we were sent off with a beautiful pink sunset.
Katelyn and Travis had the right idea for their post-ceremony celebration… all they wanted was cake, champagne, and pizza (my kind of people, haha)!! After capturing their bridal shots, we traveled back to the Airbnb where everyone was waiting to celebrate the newlyweds. Katelyn changed into the cutest jumpsuit for the remainder of the night, and I was so obsessed with how great it looked!
This Airbnb was everything. From their first-look photos by a stunning outdoor wall to the adorable just-married photos as they snacked on pizza, this property was the ideal location. For their post-ceremony bridal portraits, we found many various spots to take pictures. We just had a blast exploring how different settings would look. I am so glad Katelyn and Travis were down and willing to play around with all the locations!
I adore when couples choose to elope. With an elopement, you get to do things YOUR way! If you want an intimate ceremony between you and your partner but also envision your family and close friends being in attendance, it is totally doable. There are no restrictions — after all, this is your wedding day! Katelyn and Travis wanted to share their first dance and vows privately but for their ceremony wanted friends and family present. It was the perfect way to have a private Sedona elopement mixed with a celebration surrounded by your favorite people.
If you’re planning on eloping in Sedona or another location in Arizona we would absolutely LOVE to chat with you about your vision. Bringing couples’ elopement dreams to life is one of our favorite parts of our job and we always have the best time. If you want us to be a part of your love story, reach out here!
