Kayla and Nick’s Colorado elopement at City Park in Denver was so uniquely them from beginning to end!! Like so many other couples, they postponed their wedding due to everyone’s least favorite pandemic. So they just decided to say I do instead of waiting 2 years!!! It ended up being the perfect decision for them. They were SO HAPPY and all their focus was on each other since it was just the two of them! No distractions, no strict timeline to follow, just the two of them becoming one!!
Kayla and Nick said “I do” at sunrise in City Park in Denver as the sky turned pink all around them.
It was beyond PERFECT!! After they exchanged vows, we popped champagne and soaked in the moment to enjoy the sunrise! We took a quick break before meeting them at a tattoo parlor later in the day, yup I said tattoo parlor!!! Kayla and Nick got freaking tattooed on their wedding day!!! And Kayla didn’t just get a little tattoo, she got an entire freaking side piece on her hip! It was so BADASS and made their day even that much more special and unique to them!! Probably one of the coolest elopement activities we’ve been a part of!
After their joint tattoos, we headed out for sunset pictures at the Flatirons in Boulder!
We were treated with an INSANE view. You know the ones, the kind that Colorado is known for!! We finished the evening with their first dance in front of the car headlights after the sun went down. It was so freaking cute and perfect for them! It was such a blast getting to be a part of Kayla and Nick’s elopement. Because they truly trusted us and our art and let us take the lead, we were able to guide them to be more in the moment on their day. Being present is really what it’s all about! Especially when eloping, and we loved being able to create that space for them!
