We’ve had the joy of knowing Faith and Alex for years—so getting to photograph their wedding day felt like capturing the culmination of a love story we’ve watched bloom over time. And the fact that they chose to say “I do” in their very own backyard was pure magic.
This wedding wasn’t about flashy traditions or big moments. It was about intention, presence, creating something deeply meaningful, slow, and sacred, with the people they love most.
From the start, Faith and Alex were all in on crafting a day that felt like them. Faith designed every inch of the day with such care, from the black, white, and brass palette that gave everything a timeless elegance, to the soft draping that transformed their yard into a cozy and romantic space. Alex even built the bar himself (seriously, how cool is that?!), which became a beautiful symbol of how much heart they both poured into making the day feel personal.
They skipped the traditional moments and instead read private vows to each other before the ceremony. It was quiet, emotional, vulnerable. A pause in the day to breathe, be still, and soak it all in together. These small, intentional moments were the heartbeat of the day.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, filled with tears, laughter, and so much love from “their people.” Faith told us beforehand that one of the most important things was to remember how loved they felt by their community and by each other, and you could feel that energy pulsing through the entire day.
Afterward, the reception unfolded with the same easy rhythm. Cocktail hour while the bridal party helped flip the space, a golden hour photo session, then dinner, toasts, and cake under string lights. It was relaxed and beautiful, exactly what they dreamed of: slow, joy-filled, and grounded in presence.
Faith described herself as “very vibey,” and honestly, this day was a vibe in the best way. From the candid laughs with their bridal party to the sweet chaos of family photos (yes, we took charge like she asked, lol), every frame radiated love, connection, and authenticity.
And that’s what this wedding really was: not a performance, but a celebration of the life they’ve built and the future they’re stepping into, together.
Faith + Alex, we love you. Thank you for trusting us to capture the essence of your day, and for inviting us into something so real, so tender, and so you.
