Robin and Evan’s love is the kind that happens once in a lifetime. When we first talked about their wedding they said something that stuck out to me. “We’ve never had to force our love, we’re drowning in it.” That was evident their entire wedding day.
Let’s rewind to 2020—the year everything changed. Robyn and Evan, both WNBA Social Media Managers, found themselves in the Florida Bubble—Evan with the Phoenix Mercury, Robyn with the Connecticut Sun. One day, Evan—who’s also a photographer—snapped a candid photo of Robyn in the gym and sent it to her. That DM sparked a friendship that carried on long after they left Florida, with endless texts and FaceTime calls. But at the time, it was just that—friendship.
When Evan left his role, Robyn—craving sunshine and family—considered applying but wouldn’t do it without his blessing. His response? “There would be no greater person than you to fill those shoes.” She got the job and moved to Arizona. For seven months, they were just best friends—until one summer night at their favorite restaurant, a lingering look changed everything. Evan knew in that moment—he was staring at his future wife. One kiss, and they fell in love.
They love each other fiercely, and their people love them just as deeply. It’s a privilege to be invited into a love story like theirs—to sit alongside their family and friends and witness some of the most intimate, heartfelt moments of their lives. Seeing the generations of love that have shaped them and feeling that love fill every corner of the room was something truly special.
Some people leave a little bit of magic in your heart, reminding you just how precious life is. Robyn and Evan did that for us over and over again throughout their day. Watching them choose each other, surrounded by so much joy, was an unforgettable gift.
