We recently spent another stunning weekend at one of our all-time favorite wedding venues, The Paseo! We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again, we LOVE this wedding venue in Arizona. Being in the desert among the cacti will always re-energize our creativity. No wedding or couples’ bridal portraits ever look the same thanks to the variety of epic landscape, towering rocks, and iconic Saguaros.
On this special day, we captured the love that Hannah and Joe share with themselves and their loved ones. Hannah and Joe’s golden hour wedding at The Paseo was a great reminder of just how important it is to soak in every moment. It can be easy to get all mixed up in the chaos of a wedding day but Hannah and Joe kept it real and down to earth. It was refreshing to watch them focus their attention on their love for one another and their guests. Hannah and Joe were surrounded by sweetness all day long, and the golden hour glow was the perfect symbol of how bright and beautiful love like theirs is.
Hannah and Joe placed the emphasis of their wedding day on their relationship and the love they have for their favorite people. It shows how they truly understand the importance of community and how love like theirs can bring loved ones together! Their wedding day was a true testament to their character and a perfect reflection of the kind of people they are.
Ready for a wedding day hot-take? This may be controversial, but a wedding isn’t always just about the bride and the groom. Sure, it’s their day! We absolutely want them to have the best time and make their wedding day dreams come true. However, it’s also a celebration of (and for) the people who have supported and loved them through their journey. Wedding days are a time to reflect on good times, and are the perfect place to express gratitude and look back on fun memories. Whenever a couple takes the time to give a toast to their friends and family during their wedding it brings a happy tear to our eyes! We love watching our lovely couples spend time sharing their appreciation for those who have played a significant role in their lives, it’s amazing!
Let’s talk about Hannah and Joe real quick, I’m OBSESSED with them. They have the kindest hearts and such generous spirits — and it was 100% reflected during their wedding day. Their celebration was a beautiful reminder that the most important things in life are the people we love and the connections we make with them. Remember to spread the love and admiration to those you hold close, we don’t do it enough. Take this as your sign to go FaceTime someone you love, and tell them!
Watching a couple like Hannah and Joe get married and pour out their adoration for one another is inspiring. These two understand the value of relationships and the joy that comes from sharing love with others! I wish for nothing more than for Hannah and Joe to continue to let their love grow and hope they are always surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends.
Let’s talk about the detailsss! Hannah and Joe kept it simple but absolutely beautiful. As I said, Hannah and Joe wanted their wedding to emphasize their love for one another and those around them, but they still nailed the design elements they brought in!
The overall style was rather moody with deep burgundy and dusty rose flowers, soft blue eucalyptus, and deep brown and black details. The Paseo was lined with twinkly lights and elegant tables. It was a romantic and fun ambiance that inspired the most fun dance party EVER! With simply dressed reception tables guests, focused on the heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and fabulous evening.
Golden hour at The Paseo hits DIFFERENT. OMG. Hannah’s dress was actually the most perfect sunset and golden hour gown, because WOW. The way it flowed, the way the light reflected off and through it, oh my gosh I was obsessed (can you tell, I took like a million sunset pics because how could I not?!)
I absolutely adore golden hour especially when they’re at venues like The Paseo. The desert allowed us to play with so many different poses and settings, we always love shooting here no matter what! Ugh, it was amazing. I’ll never get tired of photographing weddings at this venue because of how golden hour photos turn out alone.
The never-ending desert landscape is the perfect setting for golden hour photos. We have SO much time to work with the glow before the sun fully sets (no trees to hide behind here!) And once the sun set there was a beautiful moment of dusk with a soft hazy glow that made the red rocks pop against the darkening sky.
As the sun set and the twinkle lights lit up, I knew the night was going to end magically – and it did. Spending this time with Hannah and Joe and shooting their wedding at The Paseo was inspiring and I adored how much love they poured into each other and their guests! I truly hope they spend the rest of their years loving each other and their people, and that the love they pour into the world is reciprocated back to them.
