On a gorgeous day in Northern California, Anne and Morris said I do in front of their closest friends and family. The love and laughter that filled The Willow Ballroom was unlike anything I’d experienced before. It was infectious, intentional, and everything a couple hopes their wedding day would be! I was obsessed with this Sacramento wedding venue, it was super pretty and the lighting was phenomenal. The natural environment with luscious willowing trees and budding floral bushes brought a romantic charm to the day.

Working with Anne and Morris was so much fun and we were thrilled to see the kind review they left us! Often on our blog we love to share sweet moments we had with our couples, but felt as though Anne and Morris’ review did their day justice:

“I don’t think there are enough stars to give to Riss and Steven. We HAD to have them as our photo and video team for our wedding. We met them at another wedding and LOVED the way they photographed us. Riss talked me off like 15 different ledges during the final weeks before our wedding and was sooo supportive that weekend! We are so grateful for them, not just for celebrating with us on our special day, but for the friendship we have created! Love you guys!”

Family is Everything

For Anne and Morris, one thing was for certain: their family was going to be incorporated into the big day. They wanted their adorable new baby to be a part of the wedding and it was the SWEETEST thing. Their son is the actual cutest baby ever and he got to be a part of every big moment. From their wedding ceremony to their first dance, they had their baby boy by their side. It was so special and their eyes both lit up when we brought him in for some family photos.

These two are the life of the freaking partyyyyy. We actually met them when we were shooting another wedding a few years ago, so catching up with them on their wedding day was epic, to say the least. Both Anne and Morris were in the wedding party of the other wedding we met them at, and we all got along so well. This is my favorite way to get hired! I love when we form a connection with a couple and eventually have the opportunity to work with them – it’s so fun and rewarding! We love getting hired by our client’s friends because we know we already get along, and because we get to see our past couples again. Umm heart eyes!!!

Family and close connections mean the world to Anne and Morris, so it makes sense that they chose us as their photographers! We were truly honored and adore that they think of us as family now. Celebrating with these two on their wedding day was so much fun and I am obsessed with their little family and watching it grow. Anne and Morris’ Sacramento wedding was the best freakin’ day and I am just living it UP as I scroll back through this gallery, because y’all, the reception… I mean you just have to keep reading because it was INSANELY fun.

The Dance Floor is the Life of the Party

If there’s one place to find me at a wedding it’s on the DANCE FLOOOOOR. And omg, Anne and Morris’ dance floor was a party! The music was so good and the dancing was such a vibeeee. I must say, it was a little tricky to work around the dance floor and capture photos because it was so rowdy, but it was a blast! Anne is absolutely everything, she and I took a tequila shot together right before she got back out onto the dance floor and danced the night away (yes, you can hire me to be your wedding day hype girl and tequila shot partner)!!

Anne and Morris’ wedding day was so much fun and we had to just get down on the dance floor with them. I love how Anne changed out of her dress into some casual wear to dance the night away – my girl kept it REAL. I loved seeing them dance all night with their friends and family, watching our couples celebrate on their wedding day means so much to us. We know how much effort goes into planning a wedding day and these two were ready to let loose and have some fun!!
