Young love is real and burning strong in the city! Sofia and Silas are the sweetest example of young love. That’s right, I’m talking about that early 2000s rom-com, summer romance novel kind of love! Sof and Si are passionate about one another; their smiles light up their faces whenever they are together. Someone grab the tissues because their relationship is the sweetest thing!! Seriously, where do I even start?! I am just so obsessed with these two and their love story, most of which I plan on saving for their wedding blog š but let me just say true love always finds a way.
As I said, I’m saving most of their love story for their wedding day blog post, but I just have to share this sweet note Sof left us when inquiring!
How They Met
āSi and I met in England four days before I left. I was in Oxford studying C.S. Lewis, one of my favorite authors (think The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe), and we happen to sit next to each other in a pub. Weeks later, even though we didnāt give each other phone numbers or social media, we serendipitously connected on Facebook. A week later, we hopped on the phone. Right after that, I texted my best friend that I was going to marry Silas. And 7 months later, my Brit flew in early and proposed in the Arizona desert! My dad says what goes around comes around. He married my mom, who is from Chile, and brought her to the US. Now, Iām going to move to London with the best person in the world. I feel so, so blessed and like I stumbled upon a treasure I couldnāt even imagine existed. Our wedding is going to be a cultural fiesta. Think Chileans, Americans from across the country, and Brits all coming together for a party filled with lots of colors, the testimonies of our faith and love for each other, and lots of Mexican food and dancing :)ā – Sofia
From the second these lovers reached out asking us to shoot their wedding, we knew we had to make an engagement session happen. Sof and I clicked IMMEDIATELY. We got along SO well and were immediate besties, haha! After some planning, we finally met up one summer night. It was incredibly hot but so worth it. Their summer night engagement session was an adventure, to say the least!
Adventuring In The City
During their engagement session in Phoenix, we wandered around the city and captured adorable snapshots of their love. Sofia hopped on Silas’ back as they giggled and lived in the moment – I mean, LOOK at their smiles!!! We explored different parts of the city and found some absolutely adorable backdrops for their photos. The entire day was memorable, but our favorite moment was golden hour at the top of a parking garage. The way the sun highlighted their smiles was absolutely sensational. Sof and Si ran around like kids before posting up in front of the city lights. We had the BEST time capturing these photos for their engagement session in Phoenix and knew the night couldnāt end just yet.
After a fun session, the four of us went out for tacos (obvi) and got to know each other better. Steven and I always enjoy spending quality time with our couples so we can capture their love as authentically as possible. And, when their love involves a story like Sof and Siās… well you have to do it justice! Their wedding day was quickly approaching, and we were all just getting so excited.
