New York City, you seriously have stolen our hearts!! There is SO much magic, love, and energy in this city. Something we absolutely fell in love with was the fact that each neighborhood holds a pocket of uniqueness resulting in dream-worthy couples photo opportunities anywhere you look. On this day we found ourselves in the burrow of Brooklyn where we met up with our amazing couple, Prin and Jack. We had the best time shooting their couples session in NYC!
To make the most out of our time, we started shooting with these lovers as the sun was rising. It was magic, the hustle and bustle of NYC hadn’t yet hit the streets. The air was quiet and the vibe around us was laid back, we didn’t even mind that it was early! We are huge fans of early-morning shoots regardless of the location, because of how calm the world feels. On this chill New York morning it felt as though we had the streets to ourselves, and we were able to snap some amazing photos! Our favorite series of images took place as Prin and Jack wandered down the streets flooded with amazing brownstones. Being surrounded by stillness in the “city that never sleeps” is a bit haunting but in the best way, it honestly felt like magic!
If we’re being honest here, Prin and Jack are waaaay too cool for us haha! I mean just take one look at these two, you already KNOW they are the envy of every couple in Brooklyn. I’m honestly a little bit jealous of their ability to just be effortlessly iconic, they are such naturals. Their edgy-cool style was so much fun to work with and it was the perfect vibe for the setting we were in. Even though Prin and Jack were posing like total models, that didn’t keep them from leaning all the way into the lovey-dovey vibes.
Wandering the streets of Brooklyn, we got to know Prin and Jack really well and I seriously adore their story. Even though they love New York City they’re planning on moving soon to be closer to family, which makes this shoot special for many reasons. It was an honor being able to capture them in this city that meant so much to them! Brooklyn has been their home for quite awhile, and now they will always remember the good times while admiring these photos.
As I mentioned, these two were 100% comfortable in front of the camera — I mean, they made sappy love look so cool. Prin looked amazing in a monochromatic purple look, and Jack’s outfit complemented hers so well. I LOVED it!! Together, they blended beautifully against the Brooklyn backdrop. On top of their perfect outfits, Prin and Jack were absolute naturals and not at ALL new to modeling. It totally showed and allowed us to capture so many amazing moments!! They’ve worked with photographers before, so they were familiar with the way couples’ shoots go (making our job extremely easy)!
As the morning streets began to fill, we wrapped up their couples session in NYC. Prin and Jack made this morning so much fun and even shared some of their favorite Brooklyn spots for us to try out while we were on this side of town. Watching these two walk hand-in-hand down the cobblestone street back to their apartment was the perfect conclusion to an amazing sunrise session. It felt like the perfect ending of an early 2000s rom-com and we’re simply obsessed. New York City is full of so much love and Prin and Jack are just one example of how incredible and passionate love can be in this city!
