Golden hour hits different in Arizona. Don’t believe us?! Just take a look at these amaaazing engagement shots of Sofia and Jarred. We can’t get over them (the photos AND our couple, of course)! These high school sweethearts joined us for their engagement session in Page, Arizona traveling all the way from New Mexico. I just adore the way that even after ten years together Sofia and Jarred continue to seek adventure.
The Perfect Arizona Location
We met up with these two in the middle of nowhere, literally! And while I wouldn’t be able to point out exactly where we were on a map I can tell you that we ended up in a stunning location for their engagement session in Page. We left paved roads behind and took an off-roading adventure to find this gorgeous spot. Hidden in the dreamy red rocks of Arizona we found a vast landscape of unique rock formations and sunkissed grounds. Something I love about shooting in locations like this is how symbolic it can be. Knowing that the location was transformed beautifully over the course of many decades parallels the long, beautiful, and timeless love we wish and know our couples will share.
These towering red rock formations created gorgeous shadows as the golden hour sun shined down on our couple. Hiding and snuggling up in sea-shell-shaped crevices, Sofia and Jarred had the best time focusing on their love. To make this day even better, we were the only people at this epic location. We really couldn’t believe it! With the freedom to roam all across the red rocks, we got some unreal photos – like the drone shots we took of them laying on the rocks. To die for!!
It was so rewarding to shoot here with Sofia and Jarred. Not only because we got to see their love story in action but because we’ve actually done a ton of research on Page, Arizona! We’ve been saving up some special spots for the perfect couple and still have so many locations we’ve been wanting to shoot at. (If you’re curious to see what we’ve got up our sleeve send us a message!) But, this session crosses one of those special spots off the list. We are sooo thankful for our couples always trusting us! Sofia and Jarred let themselves be present and in the moment and trusted us to capture each second. This allowed all of us to experience a new beautiful location together and just have fun!
Sofia and Jarred’s Love Story
Getting to know these two over the course of their engagement session in Page was beautiful. I love hearing about our couple’s love stories and what has brought them to the current moment. For Sofia and Jarred, their love story began in high school. As I mentioned, they’ve shared TEN incredible years together and their story deserves to be shared. They have literally grown up together and been through so many phases of life by each other’s side. The challenges, successes, and experiences they have gained over ten years together are something many couples aim for. I genuinely loved the inside look they gave us into their relationship and am so thankful they trusted us with a little piece of their hearts! Looking through the windows of their relationship showed years of love and time poured into one another. This session and time spent with Sofia and Jarred got us soooo excited for their New Mexico wedding this October, we will be packing EXTRA tissues for this one because it will 100% be emotional!
