Seriously… I can’t find one thing to not absolutely love about these two. Right off the bat, we were obsessed and seriously so honored to work with this fantastic couple. Brittany is a photographer herself – it is a massive compliment to be hired by other photographers! But, that compliment does come with a huuugeeee responsibility. I mean, these two knew exactly what they were looking for when it came to their wedding photos. The pressure was ON, but we were 100% up for the challenge and could not be more thankful that they chose us to capture their Zion elopement!
Brittany and Alex had known each other for 10 years by the time they tied the knot. As two super outdoorsy folks, they were naturally drawn to the idea of getting married outside in Zion National Park! It was perfect for them. Brittany and Alex have easy-going personalities. Their excitement to hike and explore Zion was infectious and we loved seeing the spots they chose for their big day!
So many of the details of their Zion elopement were absolutely perfect. For starters, Brittany’s dress was HANDMADE for her. It was incredible!! One of a kind and fitted perfectly. It also had the coordinates of the ceremony location sewn inside, how sweet! To complement her stunning dress she had a custom hand-painted suede jacket and a Stevie Nicks purse – I was dyiinngggg over the details. Alex also had some personal touches to his wedding attire that definitely deserve some attention. His brown suede suit jacket was complemented by a pocket square with a hand-stitched message from his bride (crying over here!) His style was immaculate.
As a creative, Brittany took it upon herself to design and dream up all the details of their wedding day. And my friends… she nailed it. Their wedding reception backdrop included lyrics from their song, disco balls were everywhere, bright tapered candles illuminated the space, and a siamese cake topper – in memory of their sweet cat who had passed away – brought every single moment of their love together. There was such a fun vintage feel and I seriously am NEVER going to stop talking about it… like, ever! I mean, there was even a wild turkey and deer joined in for the ceremony!!
Brittany and Alex held their ceremony in Zion National Park and brought the party to the Zion Wildflower Resort. I adored the way their beautiful bright florals brought the space to life, really complimenting the fun 70s inspired flair Brittany and Alex were going for. As the night carried on their custom neon sign, disco balls, and vibrant colors completely lit up the night! It was an iconic disco rave in the desert and everyone had soooo much fun. I cannot get over how cool the images of these two in front of their neon sign look! After a celebration they and their friends and family will not forget, the night came to an end. However, we did enjoy some private time during the sunrise capturing Brittany and Alex in the gorgeous morning light in Zion National Park. I could go on and on about how amazing this wedding was but the pictures will 1000% say more than I can. Enjoy!
