Arizona is home to stunning desert landscapes, endless mountain views, and vibrant sunsets; oftentimes setting the tone for the perfect golden hour shot! But, when you add in a vintage Rolls Royce and a beautiful couple who has been together for almost 10 years you get one amazinggggg evening. We met Abigail and Andy a couple of years ago to plan the big day, but with postponements due to Covid this day kept being pushed back time and time again. Through countless postponements and cancellations from wedding planners, Abby and Andy stayed focused on their love and bringing their dream wedding day to life! The wait was worth it. Their love filled the air and they opened their hearts to friends, family, and vendors who were helping them celebrate their Paradise Valley wedding day. I am so inspired by their resilience and commitment and I know that is something they will carry with them throughout the years of their marriage!
Abby’s morning was filled with laughter and happy tears as she got ready alongside her best friends and her mom. She had two of her good friends do her hair and makeup and the feeling in the air was fresh and full of excitement! Andy kept things relaxed over on his side of the private home they were getting ready in as he buttoned up his shirt and fixed his tie. Alongside his groomsmen, he was ready to see Abby. Before we get into their adorable first-look we have to take a moment for the dress…. I WAS OBSESSSSSED. Ughhh it was too good!! Abby had her dress altered pretty drastically and her mom actually hand-made the bow that was on the back of her dress!! It was PERFECTION. I’m still not over it, honestly, I don’t know if I ever will be!
Abby snuck up on Andy and his reaction was priceless. The way his eyes lit up and his ear-to-ear smile was just the sweetest! They didn’t need their wedding day to be flashy, instead, they wanted it to express the beauty of their relationship. They held their wedding at a private home in Paradise Valley and it had the most STUNNING views of Camelback Mountain in the background. This private estate screamed elegance from top to bottom! There were incredible photo-op locations all around the property but the best of all had to be the vintage Rolls Royce. You guys… this car was UNREAL. I mean, it was beautiful. Plus, less than ten of these beauties have ever been made!! (Symbolic of the length of their relationship? I think so!) Naturally, we had to take a ton of photos with the Rolls Royce and WOW did they turn out incredibly – this easily turned into one of my favorite parts of the day.
Family is incredibly important to Abby and Andy, so this day was very family-centered and it made everything so emotional. Abby’s mom and her brother helped her get ready to walk down the aisle, her sweet brother also shared some kind words moments before the ceremony that made everyoneeee get emotional. Abby said it was one of her favorite moments of the day (someone pass the tissues, please!)
Their ceremony was set in the backyard by the pool with the Camelback Mountains in the background. The golden sun was shining down, lighting up the space as everyone gathered to witness the couple say “I do”. Abby and Andy kept their ceremony simple and sweet with a circular wooden arch, cacti, and succulents. They incorporated similar themes throughout the entire design of their wedding day right down to the escort cards that were designed with a print of the Camelback Mountains! I had so much fun capturing all the details and seeing the way Abby and Andy added their personal touch to their wedding day.
When working with clients you never really know how things are going to turn out. But, luckily for me, I became great friends with Abby throughout the process! We bonded over our love for Asian food and working out and we made sure to try out new restaurants and Boba spots every time we hung out! I seriously adooreeee this girl. She is spunky, bubbly, and seriously so much fun! She and Andy compliment each other so well it’s ridiculous. I know that their marriage will be filled with love, laughter, and some amazing memories. Abby and Andy, you are absolute gems and I hope your marriage is filled with bliss!
