Let’s talk about this classic wedding at the oh-so-stunning white shanty venue in Provo, Utah! My business partner, Shanoah, and I have a content/styled shoot business where we essentially gather a group of talented vendors and put together these dream shoots. They are always so much fun to plan and even though they’re a lot of hard work the payoff is always so worth it!! To make things even more exciting, this shoot was our first multi-day retreat and was out of state. We were so happy with how it turned out, I mean honestly, this styled wedding at White Shanty Venue couldn’t have gone any better than it did!! We really lucked out with such an incredible team of creatives, professionals and not to mention our amazing models!
Not only were they incredibly willing to take direction and do any pose we suggested, they were also so photogenic! It was hard to believe they weren’t professional models, their style fit the overall vibe we were going for perfectly. Our gorgeous bride wore a charming dress with a lace bodice that lightly capped the shoulders and sported a high-low skirt that showed off the shorts underneath! It was such an amazing and fun dress to play around with. With her long dark hair slicked back, she was giving off all the modern Hollywood glam vibes. We knew we wanted this shoot to feel modern, light, and airy because the venue provided so much gorgeous natural lighting with its gigantic windows. So instead of a traditional black suit, we put our groom in a chic light tan suit and it was perfect! These two looked incredible.
For their “vow books” we came up with these acrylic sheets that had the vows printed on them in white. this theme carried through onto the reception table where the seating assignments were on small little acrylic half-circles that stood by the plates. We knew the details were going to make this a stand-out styled shoot so we really encouraged ourselves and our vendor partners to stretch our creativity and come up with something unique.
Did anyone else just absolutely drool over the photos vogue shared of Ariana Grande’s private wedding?! We sure did because we were absolutely inspired by their “raining” flowers and wanted to put our own spin on it! So we decided that for the ceremony setting we were going to make it rain flowers! Our friends at Lily and Juniper absolutely nailed all of the florals and brought each piece to life!! They really knew what they were doing and helped us create the look by attaching single stems of various florals in different colors to a steel beam that was in the venue. We wanted the floral to feel very organic and natural so we kept the color scheme relatively simple with natural hues of white, champagne, and nude floral with the occasional pop of peach and pecan brown!
We lined the stunning mid-century modern style wood table with a sheer white gauze runner and clustered a bunch of luxurious modern gold candlesticks around the minimalist floral pieces. The venue itself acted as a stunning backdrop so we didn’t want to distract too much from its natural beauty!! There were some gorgeous plants in the corner where we set up the table and it just worked so well with the vibe we were trying to achieve!
Seriously, I can’t think of a better setup for our styled wedding at White Shanty Venue. This modern Ttah dream wedding was a knockout and I am soooo happy with how everything turned out. It was such a fun day and I can’t wait to keep creating with some amazing wedding industry professionals!
