Ready for a fun fact? I’ve known our lovely bride-to-be Michelle since high school! That’s right, back when I lived in New Mexico we had a few classes together. I hadn’t seen her in ten years so it was so crazy to see her again, especially because it was her engagement session!! Isn’t it crazy how small this world really is? Who would’ve thought that ten years after high school I’d be photographing her Yosemite engagement session to her wonderful fiancé, Hung!
Ready for another fun fact? Michelle and Hung have actually been together for ten years!! Wow, talk about true love. I am so excited for them to get married next year in Arizona. We are so lucky to be capturing that as well, I know the wedding will be absolutely perfect!
It was absolutely beautiful!! Michelle and Hung chose the oh-so-beautiful Yosemite National Park as their location for the shoot. None of us had ever stepped foot in the park before so we had an absolute blast exploring and venturing to all the sights! Our first location in the park was at the El Capitan Meadow; we were surrounded by incredible mountains, a wall of trees, and the sunshine! it really felt like we had the space all to ourselves.
Michelle and Hung were so much fun. While dancing around Yosemite Michelle went barefoot and hardly let go of Hung’s hand. They looked so comfortable with one another and it was as if Yosemite National Park was their own backyard! They had no hesitation when it came to laying in the tall grass for some sweet close-ups; I think the fact that they’re wedding videographers themselves had a little bit to do with how comfortable they were!
We get to see how they interact with one another, hear a little about their love story, and the best part?! We get to witness how much they love each other! From twirling in the sunset to the biggest ear-to-ear smiles, engagement sessions are so special.
For the second and last half of their Yosemite engagement session, we drove further up Yosemite towards Glacier Point. And I must say, the hype around this park is legit! I swear this was easily one of the prettiest views I have ever seen with my own two eyes. It felt like we were transported from the warm hues of El Capitan Meadow to the cool mountain peaks of Glacier Point. And this is where all the romantic photos really came in! The lighting was starting to reach that peak golden hour vibe and there was a gorgeous overcast that made for the most beautiful soft lighting.
Michelle and Hung, I hope you continue to dance on mountain peaks and frolic through gorgeous meadows. Your love is so inspiring and I cannot wait for your wedding next year. It seriously was so much fun to join these two for their Yosemite engagement session!
