Forest Wedding in Silverton, Colorado

What a year it has been. We’ve had the pleasure of being a part of so many incredible weddings in 2021 and while it may be exhausting it is so worth it!! It’s no secret that many couples have felt the weight of the pandemic, for many it has flipped their wedding plans upside down. Similar to many of these couples, Kelly and Nick had to postpone their forest wedding by a year. Luckily they were able to have a small intimate elopement during the chaos of 2020 and we were lucky to be a part of it!! We have now spent three wonderful summers with Kelly and Nick and the pleasure of seeing them walk through these different stages of life, from their engagement to elopement and now, finally, their big wedding surrounded by their favorite people!

Oh my gosh, Kelly and Nick are sooo in love! so many of their loved ones came together to watch these two love birds read their vows and say “I do.” One of the highlights was their dog Lily, who stole the show… in the best way! She just wanted to be right up there with her people and it was a beautiful ceremony of three! Honestly though, we can’t blame her. Kelly and Nick just radiate love and joy so it’s obvious why their sweet pup couldn’t stay away!

Kelly and Nick chose the incredibly stunning Eureka Lodge as their wedding venue for their dreamy forest wedding.

It might just be the most stunning venue we’ve ever shot at! This gorgeous spot is located in the tiny town of Silverton, Colorado, where there is no cell service and a 4 wheel drive is a must to get up there! It was seriously so beautiful, no need for an unplugged ceremony sign with this secluded and stunning gem! Their ceremony was held outside, just up the hill from Eureka Lodge. Kelly and Nick stood on a wood riser that was delicately decorated with some gorgeous floral pieces (and Lily between their feet); careful not to take away from the breathtaking mountain views behind them. Talk about picture perfect!

After the ceremony, we brought Kelly and Nick down to a rushing river by the mountainside for some more drop-dead gorgeous bride and groom portraits.

Then it was time to head to the reception, their friends and family were all waiting for them so they could continue the party! They only wanted one thing when it came to their forest wedding and that was for it to just be a huge celebration! They had already been married so it was time for the real party and they sure partied! One of their guests wore a banana suit and they moshed to Blink 182 at their reception, the good vibes were calling our name and you bet we joined in!!

After having the time of their lives at the reception, the night ended and guests whipped out insanely fun light-up bubble wands for the cutest grand exit. This was a day we had just will be dreaming about for a long time! We are so happy for Kelly and Nick and wish them a life of endless love!!
