Elopements have been the absolute talk of the town lately and I’ll admit I am LOVING all the incredible ideas our couples have been coming up with for theirs. Here in Arizona, there are so many incredibly beautiful and fun locations to elope that you may not even know about!! Not sure where to elope in Arizona? I’m here to share all of my FAVORITE spots! I have a feeling they’ll soon become some of your best-loved locations too!! Ready to jump right in?
First up we have Sedona, talk about a magical place to elope!
Sedona has an abundance of locations for you to choose from. Epic hikes or short walks, Sedona has it ALL and we are completely obsessed!! You can expect unimaginably beautiful views to act as your altar, and you will feel like you are on top of the world. From deep desert oranges to rich greens Sedona is sure to meet your style. Want to know the best part!? You don’t even need a permit! As long as you allow the natural beauty of the desert to act as your ceremony backdrop you are good to go! Bring your favorite people (or, just yourselves) and have an elopement to remember. If you’re wanting to go the extra mile for the most personalized elopement, you can bring in your own arch or ceremony decor. Just make sure to obtain a permit so you can bring items with you, and you’re set!!
Next on my list? Horseshoe Bend.
This location is for nature lovers and risk-takers alike!! Named after the natural horseshoe-shaped canyon and filled with beautifully rich blue water, your elopement is sure to turn heads when you post those photos to Insta! All of your friends and loved ones will be blown away! Not to mention, the colors!? I mean, you cannot go wrong here. Arizona is home to 2021’s trendiest color, terracotta, and Horseshoe Bend is FULL of it!! So… have I convinced you to elope here yet? Let’s chat about the details. You’ll need to use a special permit that will cost you only about $300, just be sure to apply at LEAST 45 days before you want to elope. There is an entry fee to Horseshoe Bend and it’s about a 20-minute walk from the parking lot, but it is absolutely worth every penny and every step!!
Now onto an Arizona staple, the Desert.
The options here are like I said, endless!! The only thing you need for your dreamy desert elopement is an Arizona marriage license, officiant, and two witnesses! This is perfect for those couples wanting to share their marriage in privacy. Now we can’t forget The Grand Canyon!
This beauty is rounding off my list but it sure is one of our favorites!! You get to decide between the North Rim or South Rim – you literally cannot go wrong with either. Both are absolutely GORGEOUS!! Similar to most National Parks, permits are required but start at just $150! Another important detail? You’ll want to apply on the National Park Service website, and in order for the permit to be good, they must receive it at least 4 weeks before your wedding day. The Grand Canyon is such a popular location that they have nine (yes, NINE) ceremony sites to choose from. You can really make this location your own and feel like the park is all yours!
